What sets you apart from the competitors?

We have a unique, gas station at-the-pump merchandising system which is installed at more than 700 locations in 16 states at major grocery and supermarket stores (including H-E-B here in Texas). 

On the past year:

Like so many others, our major challenge was the economic downturn. We took steps early to reduce our overhead expenses and then progressively made changes to our marketing/merchandising approach.

Advice:

Batten down the hatches for a longer than predicted downturn. Every situation is different, but as advice to others, I would say you learn most from your mistakes, and everyone makes mistakes. Avoidance of mistakes is often used as an excuse for not making decisions: Leading is about taking risks, so weigh everything up, decide and monitor results carefully and, lastly, don't be afraid to change direction if you feel you've made a mistake.
